Dhawan and Murali Vijay were in control right from the start on a flat pitch.

Rain interrupted the proceedings as India's progress was halted.

The entire second session of the day was washed out as a result.

Dhawan went into an accelerated mode after play resumed while Vijay was more circumspect.

Vijay however did pierce the gaps once in a while.

Dhawan soon brought up his ton in grand style to stage a perfect comeback.

Vijay too began to near his ton as thwe day drew to a close.

The day ended with Dhawan on 150 and Vijay on 89. Bangladesh needing a breakthrough desperately at the start of Day 2.

Vijay will be targeting his hundred as play will start 30 minutes earlier.
