PV Sindhu stuns former World No.1 to enter quarters of World Badminton Championships
The 10th seeded Sindhu defeated the second seeded London Olympics silver medallist 21-18, 23-21 in 55 minutes at the Tianhe Indoor Stadium.

Indian shuttler P.V. Sindhu caused the biggest upset of the tournament so far by knocking out defending champion Yihan Wang of China to advance to the women's singles quarterfinals at the World Badminton Championships here Thursday.
The 10th seeded Sindhu defeated the second seeded London Olympics silver medallist 21-18, 23-21 in 55 minutes at the Tianhe Indoor Stadium.
Meanwhile, Parupalli Kashyap upset World No.6 Yun Hu of Hong Kong 21-13, 21-16 in the pre-quarters of men's singles event and secured a last-8 berth to keep his title chances alive. Saina, seeded third in the event, beat 15th seed Buranaprasertsuk 18-21 21-16 21-14 in a clash which lasted 52 minutes.
