One rally has completely changed the course of this tie. Ji Ting He and Yi Liu have an 11-point lead. Hariharan and Arjun look down and out, with India staring at another loss. As things stand, India will have to settle for bronze here.

Despite taking the second game, Hariharan and Arjun are still on the back foot. The chips are down suddenly, and the Indians now trail 5-9 in the decider. 

Hariharan Amsakarunan and Arjun Madathil take the second game of this second doubles match against China's Ji Ting He and Yi Liu. The score was 21-17 after nearly 25 minutes of action.

Hariharan-Arjun are on the cusp of taking the second game. The lead is now four points, and the Indian pair have four game points. Can they force a decider? This has been an excellent fightback nonetheless.

Oh No!!! Ayush Shetty puts up a tough fight but eventually crashes in the first game against China's Li Shefing. After a lengthy round, the scoreline reads 21-19 in the favour of Chinese shuttler. Ayush needs to bounce back in the next match. 

Both Ayush Shetty and Li Shefing are giving tough competition to each other. In the first game, the scores are currently levelled 10-10 as the result is likely to slip in any direction from here. 

India's Ayush Shetty now takes on China's Li Shefing. This is going to be yet another powerful round as both the shuttlers will be aiming to give their best. The scores are currently levelled 1-1 between India and China. 

AND THEY HAVE DONE IT!!!! Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty of India, who were battling a tough contest against China's Wang Chang and Liang Weikeng, have succesfully clinched the doubles round. After winning the first game 21-11, the second one went to the wire and eventually ended in India's favour 22-20. The scores of the semi-final match are now levelled 1-1.

After winning the first game convincingly 21-11, the duo if Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty is facing a tough fight against China's Wang Chang and Liang Weikeng in the second game. However, after trailing for a while, the Indians are back in lead by 13-11. 

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty give India the much-needed boost as the duo wins the first game against China's Wang Chang and Liang Weikeng.The Indian duo maintained it's dominance in the game, registering a victory by 21-11 scoreline. Wioth a victory in another game, India will level the score against China. 

The India duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are off to a terrific start as they take 4-0 lead over China's Wang Chang and Liang Weikeng. However, the Chinese duo cannot be taken lightly as it is looking in good touch. 

After Lakshya Sen's loss, the onus is now on the shoulders of doubles duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. They are now up against Wang Chang and Liang Weikeng. This round is very crucial for India. 

Lakshya Sen's effort goes in vain as he crashes against China's Shi Yu Qi in the first round of the men's team semi-final. After losing the first 16-21, Lakshya gave a tough fight in the second one and took the game down to the wire. However, the Chinese star bounced back and registered a thrilling 21-18 victory.

The second game between Lakshya Sen and Shi Yu Qi is turning out to be yet another thriller. So far, the scores are levelled at 16-16. Can Lakshya win this game? Only time will tell. 

As Lakshya Sen is battling out in badminton, India got a historic moment at Asian Games in weightlifting. The main highlight of India's fourth day at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya was a historic silver-medal triumph for weightlifting superstar Mirabai Chanu in the women's 49kg final, marking her first-ever podium finish at the Games. 

The second game is off to another thrilling start as both the shuttlers are giving their best to seize the win. Lakshya Sen has made a strong start to the second game. After trailing 2-4, he won a string of crucial points to take a narrow 6-5 lead.

AHHH!!! After a hard fought battle, India's Lakshya Sen ends up on the losing side in the first game of the semi-final against World No.1 Shi Yu Qi of China. Shi who was trailing in the earlier moments of the game, made a beautiful comeback, trapped Lakshya in massive rallies and clinched the first game 21-6. However, it is not the end for Lakshya as he can still settle the scores in the second game. 

China's Shi Yu Qi is giving a tought ime to Lakhya Sen in the opening round of the men's team badminton semi-final. He is currently 17-13 against Lakshya and is just four points away from clinching this game. Lakshya needs to bounce back back now. 

The first game between Lakshya Sen and China's Shi Yu Qi is turning out to be a thriller. Both the players are giving tough competition to each other to seal the victory. The Indian shuttler began with a lead but Chinese competitor made a good comeback. The scores are currently levelled 8-8. 

The highly anticipated moment is here as India's badminton men's team semi-final against China begins. In the first round, Lakshya Sen takes guard against Shi Yuqi. The victory in the first game will definitely boost Lakshya's confidence for the rest of the match. 

As we are waiting for India men's game against China, Japan defeat Korea in the women's semi-final match. The hosts registered a dominating 3-1 win and marched into the final, where they will be fighting for the gold medal. 

PV Sindhu was looking good after she recovered from a 13-17 deficit to clinch the opening game 23-21 against Yamaguchi. The battle between the two former world champions saw them battle it out in some exciting rallies, averaging 35-36 shots. Sindhu earned a game point but a wrong judgement at the back-line allowed Yamaguchi to make a comeback. The Indian grabbed another game point after her opponent found the net and sealed it with a cross-court forehand winner to grab the early initiative. After the change of sides, Yamaguchi held a two-point lead at the mid-game interval. Sindhu threatened to make another comeback from 12-17 down, but the Japanese held her nerve to take the second game 21-18. It all went downhill for Sindhu in the decider as she fell 6-14 behind.

While the World Championships bronze medallists Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand produced a clinical performance, the singles players faltered as the women's team bowed out of the quadrennial event with a 1-3 loss to Japan in the quarterfinals.

Coming into the event after a series of early exits and low on confidence, Lakshya Sen was staring at defeat after losing the opening game and trailing 14-19 in the decider. However, the 25-year-old from Almora proved his mettle, reeling off seven straight points to beat world No.7 and two-time world championships silver-medallist Kodai Naraoka 11-21, 21-5, 21-19 to give India a 1-0 lead.
 

Lakshya Sen's stirring comeback was the perfect subplot as the Indian men's badminton team produced a superlative performance to outwit Japan in the quarterfinals and assure itself of a medal. It was a flawless performance from the Indian men, silver medallists at the last edition, as they rode on victories from Lakshya, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, and Ayush Shetty.
