Kenyan Milcah Chemos won the women's 3000m steeplechase title at the World Athletics Championships on Tuesday.

Chemos, a two-time world bronze medallist, timed a world-leading time of 9min 11.65sec, with compatriot Lydia Chepkurui claiming silver in a personal best of 9:12.55 and Ethiopia's Sofia Assefa taking bronze (9:12.84).
