Texas:

Caribbean sprint legend Kim Collins is to be inducted into the Texas Christian University's (TCU) Hall of Fame during an official ceremony later this year.

Collins, who competed for the TCU Horned Frogs and received six All-America honours, will be inducted into their letterman's Hall of Fame along with six other former TCU athletes.

The 37-year-old former World Champion attended TCU between 1999 and 2001 and became the school's top sprinters.

He won his three NCAA championships in his final season in the indoor 60 and 200-metre events and the outdoor 4x100-metre relay and is one of only three Frogs ever to claim more than one national title.

The St Kitts-Nevis hero, who boasts seven World Championship medals, five outdoor and two Indoor, remains one of the world's top Sprinters with a sprint career that runs nearly two decades.

His most recent meet saw him placing an impressive third in 10.04 secs behind Justin Gatlin and Frenchman Chris Lematrie at the World Challenge meet in France earlier this month.

Collins, who represented his country in four Summer Olympics and eight consecutive editions of the World Championships, will be honoured in a ceremony and banquet at TCU's Brown-Lupton University Union on Oct 10 this year.
