Novak Djokovic Completes Historic Career Slam With French Open Win

Andy Murray, despite being broken early, kept Djokovic at bay in the first set.

Andy Murray continued to dominate the serve to wrap up the first set 6-3.

Djokovic found his groove quickly in the second set and started to dominate the proceedings.

The World No. 1 left Murray with a few options and finally outgunned the Brit 6-1 in the second set.

The Serbian ace looked in complete control and opened up a 2-1 lead thanks to a 6-2 win in the third set.

Murray staring at defeat at 5-2 in the fourth set hung on for dear life by winning two consecutive games.

However, Djokovic was in no mood to relent and wrote himself into the history books by winning the fourth set 6-4.

Hillary Swank was one of the Hollywood stars who witnessed history being made.

Djokovic stretched his winning record over Murray to 24-10 overall and 8-2 in Grand Slams.

Not only did Djokovic win his maiden French Open title but also became the third man to hold all four Grand Slams at the same time.

Murray will now look at home comforts of Wimbledon to avenge his French Open defeat to Djokovic.
