Joshna Chinappa Reaches Asian Squash Semis, Dipika Pallikal Exits
Joshna Chinnappa played with a lot of confidence and patience against the fifth-seed Joey Chan of Hong Kong for a 11-8, 10-12, 9-11, 11-9, 11-7 win, while Dipika Pallikal went down 7-11, 14-12, 13-11, 8-11, 9-11 to lower-ranked Delia Arnold of Malaysia.

Joshna Chinappa eased into the semi-finals in the Asian Senior Individual squash championship here on Sunday while fellow-Indian and much fancied second seed Dipika Pallikal crashed out.
The fourth-seeded Chinnappa played with a lot of confidence and patience against the fifth-seed Joey Chan of Hong Kong for a 11-8, 10-12, 9-11, 11-9, 11-7 win, while Pallikal went down 7-11, 14-12, 13-11, 8-11, 9-11 to lower-ranked Delia Arnold of Malaysia.
In the men's section, India's Saurav Ghosal, seeded second, entered the quarter-finals while compatriots Harinder Pal Sandhu and Mahesh Mangaonkar made their exit.
Ghosal overcame Danish Atlas Khan of Pakistan 11-4, 11-9, 11-8, in just 45 minutes. However, Sandhu squandered a 2-0 lead to lose to Pakistani Farhan Zaman 11-8, 11-4, 9-11, 4-11, 4-11 and Mangaonkar was beaten 12-10, 11-4, 11-2, by Hong Kong's Yip Tsz Fung.
