South Africa gave the perfect farewell to Jacques Kallis by defeating India by 10 wickets at Kingsmead, Durban.

The hosts sealed the 2-Test series 1-0.

India had a horrible start when the tourists lost Virat Kohli off the first delivery of the day.

Kohli had scored 11 a day earlier but on the final day, an edge to AB de Villiers off Dale Steyn is all he could manage.

The batsman played with a positive intent and despite losing several partners, managed to make the Indian scorecard tick.

Rahane looked all set to complete a century but his wicket on 96 ended India's feeble resistance on 223.

Both batsmen played with sensibly and stroked their way past the finish line.
