New York:
The National Basketball Association owners and union negotiators will resume talks on Wednesday to try and hammer out a new collective-bargaining agreement.
Both sides will send a limited number of negotiators to the meeting which will be just the third round of talks since the lockout of the players by the owners began on July 1, US television sports broadcaster ESPN reported on Tuesday.
Negotiators have expressed interest in stepping up the talks because training camps are scheduled to begin in less than a month.
The talks are being held in New York at an undisclosed location, ESPN said, adding that league commissioner David Stern and union brass Billy Hunter and Ron Klempner are expected to be there.
