Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 4 wickets in the Eliminator of the Indian Premier League at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Chasing the target, Kolkata lost wickets in the middle-overs but Sunil Narine who came to bat at Number 5 changed the momentum of the game in just one over where he hit 3 sixes to Daniel Christian. Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal were once again the stars for RCB with the ball with their clinical bowling and two wickets. Harshal Patel also equaled Dwayne Bravo's record of the most wicket in an IPL season with his 32 wickets this year. With this loss, an era has come to an end for RCB under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. The 32-year-old will no longer be the captain of the franchise from next season. However, Virat made it clear that he wants to stay with RCB till he plays his final IPL game. Kolkata will now face Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 on Wednesday.
