Shama Mohamed's Comment On Rohit Sharma Was Unfortunate: Arun Dhumal To NDTV
The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team won the Champions Trophy 2025 with a thrilling win over New Zealand in the final on Sunday. Before the title, Congress leader Shama Mohamed body-shamed Rohit and criticised his leadership. She faced a lot of backlash for her remarks on Rohit. Shama, in a post which was later deleted by her, suggested that Rohit is "fat for a sportsperson". In a separate post on X, Shama had also called Rohit "the most unimpressive captain". IPL chairman Arun Dhumal talked to NDTV after India's Champions Trophy 2025 win and called the 'body-shaming' row as unfortunate.
