Chasing 283, New Zealand lost the early wicket of Will Young but the momentum was always on their side. Conway remained unbeaten at 152 while Ravindra, who was playing his first World Cup match, scored an unbeaten 123. The duo guided New Zealand to victory in just 36.2 overs as their side began the World Cup campaign on a winning note. Earlier, Joe Root scored 77 runs for England while Matt Henry took three wickets for New Zealand.
