India Thrash Canada To Qualify For Quarterfinals Of Hockey World Cup
India registered a comprehensive 5-1 win against Canada in their final Pool C match to earn a direct entry into the quarterfinals of the men's Hockey World Cup 2018. India qualified for the last eight after finishing top of their group with seven points from three matches.

Harmanpreet Singh scored the opening goal for India in the 12th minute.
Both teams failed to score in the second quarter of the match.
Floris van Son scored the equaliser for Canada in the 39th minute.
Chinglensana Kangujam scored a field goal in the 46th minute to help India regain the lead.
Lalit Upadhyay scored two goals for India in the final quarter.
Canada attackers tried hard but failed to score another goal in the match.
