The Asians Champions Trophy for Men and Women will be held at Ordos in China between October 3 and 11 this year.

The Asians Champions Trophy for Men and Women will be held at Ordos in China between October 3 and 11 this year.

Hockey India in a media release on Friday informed that the top-four teams from the Asian Games held at Guangzhou last year, will participate in the women's division while the top-six men's team will battle it out in the competition.

The men's team, based on the results at the Asian Games which will participate are Pakistan, Malaysia, India, Japan, South Korea and China. The women's field will comprise of China, South Korea, Japan and India.

The inaugural edition of the tournament was held in South Korea last year but was meant only for women players. This, therefore, will be the first time that the men will get a chance to play in the event.
