Anirban Lahiri finished tied 49th in the 2015 Masters and will return for his second appearance at the Augusta National Golf Club with renewed confidence.

Chiragh Kumar will be part of the strong 144-man field where no fewer than 35 winners on the Asian Tour, including four Order of Merit champions, will be in action at the Singapore showpiece.

The overnight leader Chiragh Kumar bogeyed the fifth hole but sank three birdies in his final two-under par round of 70 for a total of 275 and a three-shot win over Thaworn Wiratchant (69) of Thailand and Siddikur Rahman (72) of Bangladesh.

Khalin Joshi, who has been in top-5 for the past two days had a strange card with four birdies and three double bogeys for a 74 that saw him slip down, but Chiragh Kumar with a second successive 69 also moved to eighth as did Himmat Rai (70).

For Chiragh, the ninth place which was worth USD 15,195 also carried him into the top-60 of the Order of Merit. With just four more events left, players need to finish in top-60 to secure their cards for 2015 and Chiragh is now 57th, up from 65th last week.

Shiv Kapur, who scored 142 after the first two rounds, jumped 16 places with a total score of 209 while Chiragh added 67 to his previous scores of 72, 71 to jump 27 places as Singapore's Mardan Mamat maintained his lead with a sizzling six-under 66.

Defending champion Gaganjeet Bhullar (74) also slipped from overnight tied ninth to 22nd, while Rahil Gangjee (76) had even bigger fall from overnight 22nd to tied 47th.

Gaganjeet Bhullar will headline the USD 500,000 Asian Tour event alongside reigning Order of Merit winner, Thaworn Wiratchant of Thailand, local hero Lin Wen-tang, who is a six-time Asian Tour winner and highly rated Baek Seuk-hyun, who ranks sixth on the Order of Merit.

Chiragh Kumar fired a flawless eight-under 64 to emerge as the sole leader after the opening round of the USD 1.25 million Indian Open at the Delhi Golf Club here on Thursday.
