Nadal, playing his first Grand Slam event after losing in the second round at Wimbledon, was drawn in the same half as world No.1 Novak Djokovic, which means he could meet the Serb as early as at the semifinals.
"When I came back, I played well," said the Spaniard. "I had a very good few tournaments leading up to the French Open. I am back here for another year and just to be here is positive news for me. The only negative thing is the cold weather in Paris."
"The tournament starts from the first round, and I'm sure that both of us, we know that we have a hard way before that," he said on the prospect of meeting Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals.
