Muricy Ramalho has been chosen to replace Paulo Autuori at club world champion Sao Paulo, the team said on Monday.He coached Internacional to second place in the Brazilian championship and to a berth in the Copa Libertadores. The team provided no further information, but local media said he agreed to sign a one-year contract."Our interest in (Ramalho) should not have surprised anyone,'' Sao Paulo vice president Juvenal Juvencio told Pele's web site, www.pele.net.Ramalho, who resigned as Internacional's coach on December 12 was one of only two coaches to keep their jobs throughout the 2005 season. The other was Fluminense's Abel Braga. Internacional finished three points behind Corinthians for the national title.Sao Paulo is one of the most accomplished teams in Brazilian soccer, having won three world titles, three Libertadores crowns, three Brazilian national championships and 22 state titles.Ramalho takes over for Autuori, who after leading Sao Paulo to the Club World Championship title in December last week accepted an offer to coach Japan's Kashima Antlers.
