Italian defender Marco Materazzi on Tuesday admitted that he had indeed insulted French Captain Zinedine Zidane during the World Cup final on Sunday. He, however, did not divulge what he had said to Zidane, adding that "this kind of thing always happens on the field".According to reports coming in from Rome, the Italian defender said the French Captain was himself "quite arrogant".People in France, a majority of whom have rallied behind Zizou after the head-butting incident, were unwilling to believe Materazzi's version. They were of the opinion that Zidane, in fact, had been called a terrorist and that something was said about his mother.Zidane's manager had also stated earlier that he was sure that the player would not have reacted in such a manner at this stage in his career unless something very "upsetting" was said to him.
