FULL TIME REPORT
Everton (13-9-14) took home all three points away at Huddersfield (9-8-18) on Saturday afternoon with a comfortable 2-0 win. The Toffees netted either side of the break with Cenk Tosun opening the scoring five minutes before the break as he finished off a quick counter with a precise finish into the corner. The scoreline was doubled with just over ten minutes to go as Idrissa Gueye found the bottom corner from the edge of the box with an arrowed shot past Jonas Lossl. Huddersfield had a few chances with their best falling to Rajiv Van la Parra but he could only clear the bar from 12 yards. Huddersfied are dragged back into the relegation mix while Everton remain eighth.

LOOKING ON
The home side are struggling to create clear cut chances and with the teams around them winning a dejected looking David Wagner looks on, with his side devoid of ideas.
83'
CORNERS
The Terriers aren't giving up with time running out and get a number of corners into the box. After pinball in the area Everton can finally hoof it clear and can breathe again.
78'
GOOOAAALLL!!!
Everton look to have wrapped the points up now as IDRISSA GUEYE rifles a shot from the edge of the box into the corner giving Jonas Lossl no chance.
77'
Goal
Idrissa Gueye. Assist by Leighton Baines (Everton)
9'
STOPPED
Everton are on the front foot now and steam forward down the left but a strong challenge from Aaron Mooy halts the visitors in their stride and the ref blows up for a free kick.
76'
CHANGES
A change apiece now as Ramiro Funes Mori is on for Nikola Vlasic while Laurent Depoitre is on for Rajiv Van la Parra.

MORE OF THE BALL
The home side have seen more of the ball in the last few minutes but are struggling to turn their chances into goals with Everton defending in numbers.
72'
Substitution
Oumar Niasse (on). Cenk Tosun (off). (Everton)
68'
HELD
Huddersfield have been second best this half but Philip Billing sends a low ball into the six yard box but no home player has gambled and tried to score.
64'

The first change of the game for the visitors sees Tom Davies replace Wayne Rooney who hasn't had the best of games.
63'
Substitution
Tom Davies (on). Wayne Rooney (off). (Everton)
62'
Substitution
Scott Malone (on). Jonathan Hogg (off). (Huddersfield Town)
61'
SUB
The first change of the game comes and it's for the home side. Jonathan Hogg and Collin Quaner are off and on come Philip Billing and Scott Malone.
59'
Substitution
Philip Billing (on). Collin Quaner (off). (Huddersfield Town)
57'
TAKEN AWAY
Everton are almost in for 2-0 as a ball over the top finds Tosun but his chest control just takes the ball out wide and the hosts get men back to defend.
53'
BIG CHANCE
Everton should be two up now. A free kick is knocked into the box and the home players push up to try and catch them for offside. It doesn't work and the ball drops to Seamus Coleman who as good as passes the ball to the keeper when if he had squared it would have been a tap in.
50'
Yellow Card
Jonathan Hogg (Huddersfield Town)
50'
BOOKING
We have the first booking of the game and it goes to Jonathan Hogg for what was essentially a body check on Theo Walcott. The ref has no option but to issue the caution.
43'
BREAKS IN PLAY
There hasn't been a flow to this game yet with the ball constantly going out of play for a throw.
39'
Goal
Cenk Tosun. Assist by Theo Walcott (Everton)
39'
GOOOAAALLL!!!
It's been all Huddersfield but Everton have the lead! Rajiv Van la Parra gives the ball away cheaply and the visitors break with Theo Walcott. He feeds in CENK TOSUN who finishes neatly from just inside the area.
46'
SECOND HALF
The second half is under way. No changes at the break.
45'
HALF TIME REPORT
Half time at the John Smith's Stadium and it's the away side who have the lead against the run of play. Cenk Tosun's first goal in five games has given the home side the advantage, with the Turkish striker finishing off a counter attack neatly from 18 yards. Huddersfield had had the better of the chances throughout and Jordan Pickford was there to keep out Steve Mounie's header while Rajiv Van la Parra skied from close range. Hopefully we'll have a bit more action in the second half.
45'
HALF TIME
Half time and it's 1-0 to the visitors.
45'
ONE MINUTE
There will be one additional minute.
5'
GOOD PLAY
The opening five minutes have seen the home side have the majority of possession and look dangerous coming forward. Some reolute defending from Everton keeps the Terriers out so far.
35'
HEADED DOWN
Steve Mounie rises highest to meet a cross from the right now but can't generate enough power on his header and Jordan Pickford claims easily.
31'
SIDEFOOTED OVER
Aaron Mooy somehow gets himself away from two Everton defenders in the corner and puts a cross into Rajiv Van la Parra who can only sidefoot over.
27'
OVER
A cross is sent into the danger area by Wayne Rooney but there is Mathias Jorgensen to clear over the bar. Still not much action here with nearly 30o minutes gone.
22'
OVER
We have the first meaningful chance of the game and it presents itself to Terence Kongolo who can only drive his left-footed effort over the bar.
17'
GOT AWAY
Huddersfield look promising when they come forward and almost make something of their possession in the box but a sloppy touch from Steve Mounie sees the ball get away from him.
13'
SLOW TEMPO
It's a slow tempo we have here with both sides exchanging possession every few minutes while failing to really create any chances.
1'
UNDER WAY
The game kicks off.

PREVIEW
Huddersfield welcome Everton to the John Smith's Stadium this afternoon as they look to effectively secure their place in next season's Premier League. Three points for the Terriers could lift them eight points clear of the drop zone with three games left of the season to play. Everton will be playing purely for pride now as their season is as good as over; the Toffees can still make Europe but would need to win their remaining games while ensuring Burnley pick up no more than one point. Although expected to survive, the hosts' form has been less than impressive, winning just one of their last six, although that did come last time out at home to Watford. Sam Allardyce's Everton are unbeaten in four games in the league and picked up three points on their last outing - a 1-0 home win over Newcastle.
