SL vs PAK, 2nd Test Day 1 Highlights: Dinesh Chandimal and Niroshan Dickwella helped Sri Lanka dominate against Pakistan on Day 1 of the ongoing second Test. Chandimal scored 80 while Dickwella remained unbeaten on 42 as Sri Lanka reached a score of 315/6 at stumps. Earlier, Chandimal and Angelo Mathews had steadied Sri Lanka after the hosts had three quick wickets in the opening session. Oshada Fernando and Dimuth Karunaratne had added 92 runs for the opening wicket, before the former was dismissed on 50 by Mohammad Nawaz. Kusal Mendis failed to make an impact as he was run out after a mix-up. Karunaratne was the next one to depart as Yasir Shah got the better of him. Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in the second Test at the Galle International Stadium. At the toss, Pakistan captain Babar Azam confirmed that Fawad Alam and Nauman Ali replace Azhar Ali and the injured Shaheen Shah Afridi in the playing XI. For Sri Lanka, Asitha Fernando and Dunith Wellalage replace Kasun Rajitha and Maheesh Theekshana. A century from Babar in the first innings, and an unbeaten 160 from Abdullah Shafique during the chase handed Pakistan a four-wicket win in the first Test earlier this week. (SCORECARD)

... Second innings ...

!
Pakistan have been very good with the second new ball, especially Naseem Shah who continued his good work from last evening and picked up two early wickets on Day 2, including the prized wicket of Niroshan Dickwella. Hasan Ali gave him ample support and once the spinners came on, they got the job done. Yasir Shah varied his pace well and ended up with three wickets. The visitors will feel they conceded about 15-20 runs more in the end but the total isn't a huge one and with the pitch still pretty good for batting, Pakistan will be confident of getting past it. But will they? Find out soon as Pakistan's reply is up next.

!
At the start of Day 2, Niroshan Dickwella was the only recognized batter for Sri Lanka, but he couldn't add many runs as after reaching his fifty, he soon got out. His overnight partner Dunith Wellalage too couldn't hang around but the cameo from Ramesh Mendis towards the end of the innings has proved to be a very useful one for the hosts. Mendis' 35 runs have helped his side get well over the 350-run mark and they are certainly in the game with that score. Their bowlers will now look to get a breakthrough or two before the Lunch interval and have the early advantage.

!
A very productive morning session on Day 2 for Pakistan and they have picked up 4 wickets for 63 runs to bundle out Sri Lanka for 378 runs! This is a decent total on the board, one which seems par and the match is beautifully poised at the end of the first innings.
