George Ross Adair Profile

George Ross Adair, born in Holywood, County Down on the 21st of April 1994, is a prominent figure in Irish cricket, hailing also from a family deeply entrenched in the sport. A former rugby union player, he transitioned to cricket, finding success with the Northern Knights in domestic cricket. His brother, Mark Adair, shares his passion for cricket and has represented Ireland across all formats. Known for his aggressive right-handed batting style, top of the order, Ross Adair's penchant for clearing the ropes is evident, with one of his proudest moments being sharing the field with his brother, Mark, and achieving his maiden T20I half-century. His explosive power and a remarkable strike rate for the Knights make him a formidable force on the field. Ross Adair made his Twenty20 debut for the Northern Knights in the 2020 Inter-Provincial Trophy, showcasing his prowess from the outset. He continued to make waves, earning his List A debut on 30 June 2021, further solidifying his place in the cricketing arena. In December 2022, Ross Adair received his maiden call-up to the Ireland cricket team for the T20I series against Zimbabwe, a testament to his consistent performances and potential. He made his Twenty20 International debut for Ireland on 12 January 2023, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning cricket career.
