Piers Morgan on Wednesday went a step ahead in his Twitter war with former Indian opener Virender Sehwag.
The celebrity British journalist challenged Sehwag to a bet of Rs10 lakh, claiming that England would win an ODI World Cup before India won the next Olympic gold.
"Hi @virendersehwag, I bet you 1 million rupees to charity that England wins a ODI World Cup before India wins another Olympic Gold. Accept?," Morgan tweeted.
Meanwhile, Sehwag tweeted, apparently replying to Morgan's bet.
But Morgan was not ready to bow down as he retorted with another tweet.
The next ODI World Cup will be played in England in 2019, whereas the Olympic Games are scheduled to he held in Tokyo 2020.
Barely a week ago, Morgan got trolled on social media for criticising India's celebrations on winning two Olympic medals.
His tweet invited the wrath of Indian fans, who left no stone unturned in criticising him for his comments.
Sehwag too jumped into the bandwagon and took a direct jibe at England not able to win a 50-over World Cup.
