That is all from this fantastic tour. Zimbabwe take the prize while Namibia avoid the clean sweep. Sikandar Raza collects the award and his teammates join him to pose for the cameras. We hope you enjoyed the coverage. A lot of cricket is happening around the world. Switch the tabs and join us on the other side. Goodbye and cheers!
Sikandar Raza, the captain of Zimbabwe says they got answers to the questions they were asking before the series but credits the way Namibia played. Mentions they didn't bat or bowl well today, they need to work hard and hope all the departments fire together. Feels they have bowled well in the middle periods throughout the series. Mentions that they need to bat and bowl well in the Powerplay. Ends by appreciating the crowd for the support.
Brian Bennett WINS THE PLAYER OF THE SERIES AWARD. He says getting some runs into this series helps him boost his confidence. Mentions Harare wickets are quicker while today the wicket was slightly slower.
Jan Frylinck wins the PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD. He says he just went out there and expressed himself, feels it was just his day. Reckons they play on conditions that are tricky but are happy to play on this flat pitch.
Gerhard Erasmus, the skipper of Namibia says it's good to win the final match and take some momentum into the tour. Tells Zimbabwe played really well and gave a good fight. Reckons the batters expressed themselves in the Powerplay, while he feels the bowlers need to be smarter during crunch situations. Ends by saying they are well prepared for the qualifiers and excited about the challenge ahead.
...Presentation...
Earlier in the game, Jan Frylinck's explosive batting set the tone for Namibia's innings, as he smashed his fifty off just 13 balls, the fastest by a Namibian player. He added 74 runs for the opening wicket with Louren Steenkamp, who contributed 14 runs. Frylinck's 77-run knock came to an end when Sikandar Raza trapped him, providing a crucial breakthrough for Zimbabwe. Ruben Trumpelmann stepped up in the tail-end overs, blasting 46 runs off 24 balls and taking Zimbabwe's bowlers to task while Alexander Volschenk finished the innings with a flourish.
It was hard for Zimbabwe to get back on track after losing four wickets for not many on the board. Trying to get some momentum, Zimbabwe lost too many overs to settle in but credit to Sean Williams' lone effort which kept Zimbabwe kept into the game. For Namibia, JJ Smit was the star with four wickets in his spell.
A solid effort at home from Zimbabwe and they'll take a lot of pride in how they have performed in this series. Despite not winning the series, Namibia were playing for pride and they did the job with the bat up front, which put them in a commendable position. The bowlers started well by picking four wickets inside the Powerplay, including the big wicket of Sikandar Raza but were put under pressure by Sean Williams whose lone effort kept Zimbabwe in the game but with a mountain to climb, Zimbabwe needed fireworks from both sides which didn't arrive.
