Right then. That is all we have from this game and this tour. South Africa have won the Test and T20I series too. Now, West Indies will welcome Australia to their shores and South Africa will travel all the way to Ireland for their next assignment. We hope to have your company for those games. Until next time then. Cheers and take care!
Temba Bavuma, the South African skipper, says that he is very delighted and it has been an incredible effort from the boys. Says that this will boost their confidence and they have not won a lot of series' away from home and this was a good one. Bavuma believes that certain guys have put their hands up in the series, which has been good. Feels that coming to the Caribbean was a good experience for all the boys.
TABRAIZ SHAMSI IS THE PLAYER OF THE SERIES. He says that he does homework behind the scenes, but feels that he had an amazing series and their whole bowling unit has been really good. Says that nobody gave them a chance when the series began and opines that they are inexperienced but there is no lack of skill. Feels that the guys have kept learning from each game.
Kieron Pollard, the West Indies skipper says he thinks the team makes making the same mistake over and over again. The target was not that huge and we could've delivered but we take the positives from the game. He praises the South African side for a great series. He also says the young bowlers have delivered to their level, but it won't take much time for them to show up to the potential. Also states that the Aussies are coming to the Caribbean and that will be good exposure for the players ahead of the World Cup. Ends by saying they look to focus on the current situation and concentrate on the World Cup when the time comes.
AIDEN MARKRAM IS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says naturally they always look to score runs and deliver. Adds that de Kock has helped him a lot and he has guided him throughout the innings. States that he had a great series. Also says Quinton is a special player and it was a matter of time when he gets it right. Also says credit to the fielding coach who has worked a lot on us behind the scenes and it feels even better when it shows during the game.
Kagiso Rabada is in for a quick chat! He says that Nortje was a big loss for them, due to his performances and they came into this game with a fresh mindset and Mulder did well. Feels that South Africa are rebuilding as a team and they are a hungry group of people. States that they will take confidence from the Test series and also the T20I series.
Wiaan Mulder is up for a chat, he says he is pretty happy with a series win. Adds that it was incredible to bowl against Pollard and Russell and he is glad his game plan worked. States that he thought they were above par, and they had to perform well while bowling and keep it tight. Ends by saying this is really good result that they as a young side could deliver against the big names.
No matter how the bowling performance was, we can surely say that the fielding though has been top-notch. The spinners did the trick for the Proteas in the initial phase of the game. It was Linde to find the first breakthrough as he got Simmons on his way back. Also, Shamsi struck in his second over to get the big man Gayle. He was also the pick of the bowlers because of his economical spell. Ngidi was quiet at first, but later he was able to grab three wickets. Mulder had to prove a lot in this game as he was filling the shoes for Nortje. He had a lot of pressure on him, but boy, did he deliver. He rattled Pollard and Russell in no time to give the edge to South Africa. It was Rabada, the death-over specialist to grab two wickets in the penultimate over and wrap the game up.
The West Indies opening pair got off to a solid start. It was then when Simmons had to make way for Gayle. Post this, it was all about Lewis who went all gun-blazing while Gayle was at the other end. For Gayle, it must've felt as if he is seeing himself in the mirror. Also, Gayle struck a huge six the only one of his innings but he got out to a beauty by Shamsi. Later even Lewis followed his teammate just after getting his fifty. It was Pollard and Hetmyer then who were getting settled in the middle, but Pollard got himself injured which made it difficult for him to survive. Hetmyer and Pooran were in the middle but Hetmyer was a goner in the 18th over. Pooran kept his cool on this situation and kept attacking the balls but could not stay till the end. Bravo also lasted for a couple of deliveries. The burden was all on the tail-enders, and they could not deliver.
The South Africans seal the series as they win it 3-2. They looked in trouble during the initial phase of the game, but West Indies kept losing wickets in short intervals which always held them on the back foot. The Proteas will be happy with this victory away from home soil.

Kagiso Rabada To Nicholas Pooran OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! Two-in-two for KG and that could be the game. Cannot blame Pooran as he had to look for the boundaries. A slower back of a length ball around off, Nicholas Pooran looks to heave it away but the ball takes the outside edge and goes high towards the keeper, where Quinton de Kock takes an easy catch. 29 needed in 9 now.
The next man in at No. 9 is Akeal Hosein.
