So, that is it from this game! All to play for in the 5th T20I then. That is on the 3rd of this month and it begins at 1400 local (1800 GMT). Till then, good bye and take care!
Kieron Pollard says you need to come hard in games like this, it was a must-win game, he did not play a lot and he wanted to give himself time and it went well. Mentions they were right into the game after the first innings, they wanted to get out of the first 6 without any damage with the ball and Gayle got that important wicket which set the tone. Also tells he hopes they can make one more push in the final game. Ends by saying Bravo is exceptional and he continues to do well time and time again.
Temba Bavuma says it was not bad luck, looking at their bowling, they bowled well majority but they did not bowl well towards the end and that is what put them under pressure. Adds they were terrific in the middle overs, Shamsi and Linde were very good and they thought they would restrict them under 150 but they were poor in the death. States the surface plays a big part and Shamsi has been brilliant, Linde has also been good. Also tells, they can't use the last few overs as an excuse, the batting was disappointing, except for de Kock no one put up a fight.
For South Africa, chasing a competitive total, they needed partnerships but that was not the case. Also, they needed a couple of batters to play well but except for de Kock no other batter showed fight. Overall, it was a poor effort with the bat by the visitors.
They did not let the visitors build partnerships and kept picking wickets when mattered. Gayle was the one who started things off but it was McCoy, Bravo, Pollard and Russell who were very good. They bowled through the middle overs, built the pressure by squeezing the runs and due to that got wickets. Bravo was the pick out of them as he finished with career-best figures of 4-19.
We have a decider then! What a clinical performance with the ball by the Windies! Despite losing Allen, who is so vital for them with the ball, they have defended this quite nicely. Credit though has to be given to their skipper, that knock from him has to be the difference between the two sides. It is because of him they finished over 160 and that was always going to be difficult to chase especially if the bowlers picked up wickets on regular basis and that is what the Windies did.
