That's a wrap, folks! Day one of warm-up action in the 2026 T20 World Cup has now seen two out of the three matches completed and after a strong outing from Afghanistan against Scotland, India A have just given USA a few things to think about heading into the main draw of the tournament. There's one more game still going and Italy have just put on a total of 156/4 against Canada in Chennai. The chase is about to start in that game and you can simply switch tabs and tune in to our coverage. Cheers!
Spoiled for options - As many as 9 bowlers were used by Ayush Badoni but the seasoned pros were the ones that impressed the most. Khaleel Ahmed and Ravi Bishnoi shared 5 wickets amongst themselves but the likes of Ashok Sharma and Manav Suthar bowled pretty well too. Earlier in the game, the batting from India A was like a really long highlight reel as Narayan Jagadeesan struck a stellar century and skipper Ayush Badoni made an unbeaten 60 in more than double-quick time. The fringe players will take a lot of confidence as they continue to tussle for a spot in the main team in the future. Also, the main team will be happy with how Tilak Varma has recovered and we might see him play a big role in the upcoming mega event.
Finding their feet - USA are currently in uncharted territory and even though their squad is made up of players who share sub-continental heritage, they haven't really played in such conditions regularly. A big learning curve for USA and even after a lacklustre effort with the ball, there have been plenty of positives with the bat. Andries Gous and Sanjay Krishnamurthi impressed most, showcasing once again the strides those two have made thanks to playing franchise cricket regularly. The middle order, in general, did put up a fight, but it was always a bridge too far for them.
India flex their squad depth - What a moment for India A, they have beaten a USA side that made it to the second round of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Plenty of well-known names in India, but that's through franchise cricket. To step up against an international is a big thing and this goes to show the quality of India's domestic talent. USA won't be too displeased either because they did put on a solid battinng effort.

Shadley van Schalkwyk is the new batter in. Also, Naman Dhir will roll his arm over now.

Ashok Sharma To Mohammad Mohsin
A slower bumper over leg stump, Mohsin walks across to the off side and looks to ramp it over short fine but misses.
Ashok Sharma is back on, replacing Khaleel Ahmed. USA need 66 more off 18 balls. There is a bit of a hold-up in play. Actually, the ball seems to have taken a beating and is getting replaced. Umpire Rohan Pandit selects the ball that most closely resembles the previous one. We are good to continue.
