Right then! That is it from the coverage of this clash. The Pakistan Super League now shifts to Lahore and the action resumes on Thursday, 10th February 2022. It will be Multan Sultans taking on Peshawar Zalmi in game number 16. This fixture will begin at 8 pm IST (2.30 pm GMT). Do join us then and make sure you tune in early for the buildup. Cheers!
Sarfaraz Ahmed, the skipper of Quetta Gladiators, says that he can't praise Roy enough. Says that it is probably the best innings in the PSL and it was a treat to watch. Tells that they knew they gave a lot of runs and their plan was to attack and keep wickets in hand. Adds that Roy was destructive while Vince supported him well. Informs that there will be some adjustments when they get to Lahore. Says that there is still plenty of cricket left and they would be looking to build on this momentum.
Shaheen Afridi, the skipper of Lahore Qalandars, says that credit goes to Quetta Gladiators and tells that Jason Roy batted brilliantly. Adds that you are bound to get such games in a tournament like this and he is sure that they will bounce back in the next game.
Jason Roy is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says that he is extremely jet-lagged. Says that it has been a long time since his last T20 hundred. Mentions that the partnership with Vince was incredible and he enjoyed batting with him. Ends by saying that it is important to take the momentum ahead in the latter stages of the tournament.
... PRESENTATION CEREMONY ...
Sir Vivian Richards, the Mentor of the Gladiators, is up for a chat. He says that he thoroughly enjoyed the game. Mentions that it was a fantastic match and this raises the resume of the PSL. Tells that the way Fakhar Zaman played in the first innings and then to see Jason Roy smashing the ball all over the park was magnificent. Adds that Lahore has the best bowling attack that one could find but they believed in themselves. Says that he told the boys in the break that there is nothing that Lahore can achieve and they can't.
Lahore Qalandars, one of the most complete bowling attacks of the competition had a day to forget as they had no answers to Jason Roy's juggernaut. Kamran Ghulam did get the breakthrough by sending back Ahsan Ali but the other bowlers failed to back it up and took some serious beating. It was David Wiese who got the prized scalp of Roy in the end overs but it was too little, too late for the Qalandars. All the bowlers looked clueless when Roy was firing on all cylinders and in the end, they were handed a defeat.
The Gladiators needed 205 runs to win from 20 overs and it was Jason Roy who provided them with the perfect start. He started putting Qalandars' bowlers under pressure right from the first ball. He smashed the ball to all parts of the ground and they scored 74 runs in the Powerplay. Vince joined Roy in the middle and both of them took the attack to the opposition. It was Roy who led from the front and made sure that every bowler was taken to cleaners. He did get out in the end but the damage had already been done. Vince made sure that he stayed till the end to see his team through. A terrific batting performance from the English lads! Things did get a bit tricky in the end but it was the crucial cameo of Mohammad Nawaz that took Quetta Gladiators home.
JASON ROY HAS ANNOUNCED HIMSELF IN STYLE! What a chase this has been from Quetta Gladiators! It was all about Jason Roy, who took things under his control right from the word go and smashed a hundred off just 49 balls. The Gladiators didn't look unsettled at any point in the chase and they have been simply superb against one of the best bowling attacks of the tournament. This is also Quetta Gladiators' highest successful chase in the history of PSL!

Full toss, outside off. Mohammad Nawaz toe-ends it towards square leg and comes back for the second run. The fielder there throws it to the keeper's end who whips the bails off but Nawaz is home.
Is that a run out? The keeper has whipped the bails off and Nawaz could be in trouble. The decision has been sent upstairs and the replays suggests that Mohammad Nawaz is well inside the crease.
