Right then, that wraps up this game, with Pakistan securing a comprehensive victory to conclude their tournament on a high note. Samoa, despite the loss, displayed plenty of promise and have much to take pride in. Coming up next is the second game of the 4th Place Playoff leg, where Malaysia Women Under-19 will face off against Nepal Women Under-19 right here at the Johor Cricket Academy Oval. The Toss is just around the corner, so switch tabs and get ready to dive into the excitement of that match. Until then, it’s goodbye and cheers from here!
Pakistan Women Under-19 skipper, Komal Khan says it feels good and the girls are delighted with the first win. Appreciates Haniah Ahmer for bowling exceptionally well. She mentions that she has learnt a lot and they will work a lot harder going back home. Accepts that they didn't apply themselves well in this competition.
Avetia Fetu Mapu, the skipper of Samoa Women Under-19 says they came here to play their best and unfortunately, they couldn't do that but says the girls have put in a lot of effort. Mentions that they realized that the World Cup isn't an easy tournament and facing talents from across the world has only given them a lot of learnings. Concludes that they have a good fun team who enjoy what they do.
Haniah Ahmer of Pakistan Women Under-19 is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for her stellar 4-fer. She says she is very delighted and she needed this opportunity. Is happy to contribute to what the team needed from her. Says that she was a bit nervous but she got good support from her teammates. Feels proud to represent her country in such an important tournament.
It's time for the Presentation Ceremony...
Earlier in the game, Pakistan began with a cautious yet promising start, with their new opening pair. However, just as momentum seemed to build, they lost their way in the middle overs. The pressure was momentarily eased by a resilient 30-run partnership between Maham and Minahil, which anchored the innings. But Samoa struck back with a flurry of quick wickets, regaining control and stalling Pakistan’s progress. Despite the setbacks, Fatima Khan's spirited cameo powered Pakistan past the 120-run mark. On the bowling front, Norah Jade Salima stood out as Samoa's star performer, claiming three crucial wickets.
Despite the setbacks, Samoa Women Under-19 displayed admirable resistance, comfortably surpassing their previous two team totals. Stella Sagalala, Angel Sootaga So and Stefania Pauga made promising starts, pushing the team's total closer to the target. However, they couldn’t convert those starts into significant scores to make the most of their efforts. Haniah Ahmer was the standout performer with the ball, delivering key breakthroughs for Pakistan whenever the pressure began to mount finishing with a four-wicket haul.
Chasing a daunting target of 137 runs, Samoa's openers came out firing, setting the tone with an aggressive start. Verra Farane looked in fine form, but Pakistan wasted no time in striking back. Haniah Ahmer turned the game around with two crucial wickets in the second over, setting the stage for Pakistan to take control as they continued to chip away at the batting lineup.
Pakistan Women Under-19 secure their first win of the tournament, ending their campaign on a slightly positive note with a commanding 52-run victory. Although Samoa Women Under-19 fell short of chasing down the target, they delivered their best performance of the tournament, showcasing resilience and giving plenty for their team and fans to be proud of.

Fatima Khan To Silepea Polataivao OUT!
OUT! LBW! Done and dusted! Fatima Khan bowls it on a hard length, and gets the ball to tail back in a touch from off. Silepea Polataivao is rooted in her crease and with no footwork, she tries to drag it across, ending up playing it all over the wrong line. The ball beats the inside edge and clicks on her front pad. A confident appeal for LBW and up goes the finger. Pakistan Women Under-19 win by a huge margin to end their campaign in this tournament.

Quratulain To Stefania Pauga OUT!
OUT! CLEANED HER UP! Samoa Women Under-19 lose their 9th wicket! Quratulain tosses it up, and lands it very full on the leg stump line, almost yorks the right-hander up. Stefania Pauga tries to work it across towards the leg side, but she is way too early through her shot and ends up playing it over the line. Shahar Bano To Stefania Pauga OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! Another one bites the dust! Full and on off, Stefania Pauga stands in her crease and flat-bats it down to mid off and straightaway runs for a single. Barbara Ella Keresoma is late to react and rushes through quickly to get to the other end. The skipper Komal Khan picks and releases the flat throw. She scores a direct hit at the keeper's end. The side-on replay shows that Barbara is marginally short of her crease.
