Earlier in the game, Pakistan began with a cautious yet promising start, with their new opening pair. However, just as momentum seemed to build, they lost their way in the middle overs. The pressure was momentarily eased by a resilient 30-run partnership between Maham and Minahil, which anchored the innings. But Samoa struck back with a flurry of quick wickets, regaining control and stalling Pakistan’s progress. Despite the setbacks, Fatima Khan's spirited cameo powered Pakistan past the 120-run mark. On the bowling front, Norah Jade Salima stood out as Samoa's star performer, claiming three crucial wickets.
Despite the setbacks, Samoa Women Under-19 displayed admirable resistance, comfortably surpassing their previous two team totals. Stella Sagalala, Angel Sootaga So and Stefania Pauga made promising starts, pushing the team's total closer to the target. However, they couldn’t convert those starts into significant scores to make the most of their efforts. Haniah Ahmer was the standout performer with the ball, delivering key breakthroughs for Pakistan whenever the pressure began to mount finishing with a four-wicket haul.
