So that's it from us for this game. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. The decider will take place on 15th September, 2017. Action begins at 1900 local time (1400 GMT). We look forward to your company. Until then, it's goodbye and take care!
Faf du Plessis says that they needed the win to keep the series alive. Is happy that they made less mistakes. Credits Thisara Perera for playing a great knock. Lauds the effort by Hashim Amla to play the anchor role. Adds that you take losses in your stride but they were disappointed with their performance last night. Is delighted that the bowlers executed their plans well and hopes that they do well in the final game.
Sarfraz Ahmed starts by crediting the opposition, especially Amla for the way he took the game away from them. Feels it's a good learning for the young bowlers on how to bowl in pressure situations when you have someone like Amla batting. Reckons their sloppiness in the field cost them the game. Opines that yorker is fruitful at the death but at the same time you need to hit the right lengths by varying your pace.
Man of the Match, Thisara Perera is really delighted that he was selected for the World XI side. Is short of words and is extremely happy with his contribution. Credits Amla who asked him to keep his calm at the start and cash in at the right time. Once again emphasizes that it was a dream come true for him to be a part of the World XI side.
Pakistan will rue the fact that they were really sloppy in the field and the missed chances didn't help either. Agreed, they did well at the start but in such a crunch game you just can't hold back. The spinners once again kept it tight for them but the fact that Shadab Khan went wicketless should be a worry for them. Rumman Raees and Sohail Khan couldn't stop the rampage at the death as they wilted under pressure. Overall, it was a cracking game of cricket. Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony...
Thisara Perera's heroics have done it for the World XI! 47 from just 19 balls, just one dot ball. Kudos to him! Chasing 175, the visitors got off to a good start. Hashim Amla decided to bat through and when that happens, the opposition is always in trouble. He scored a breezy 72 and remained unbeaten. He kept on stitching partnerships in the middle, but his unbeaten stand of 69 with Perera sealed the deal for his side and leveled the series 1-1.
