That's all from us for this game. We now move to the last game, the big final on Sunday between Bangladesh and India. So, can the hosts topple the mighty Indians? Or will the Men in Blue continue with their ruthless form? We shall find out on 6th February, 2016 at 1900 IST. Until then, goodbye and good night.
SHAHID AFRIDI thanks the Almighty. States they need more conviction in the batting order just like today. Confirms that they played up to the plan of not losing too many wickets in the first 6 overs. Adds that they got a fair chance before the World Cup and will definitely do better in the coming games. Further says he always believes in his ability and has confidence in him. Ends by thanking the Bangladeshi crowd for their support.
UMAR AKMAL, MAN OF THE MATCH thanks the Almighty for giving him good form before the World Cup. Adds that they were motivated by the support staff. Mentions that they all wanted to lift up each and everyone and for that he is thankful to his captain and the team management. Also adds that he is thankful to his skipper for giving him the opportunity to bat at number 4.
DINESH CHANDIMAL says it was a good game. Also says that they batted well and will take positives out of today's game. Mentions that they all knew dew will be there. Adds from the bowling point of view, they did well. About the target he says they were 15-20 runs short. Clears that they are struck by injuries now and hopes that they will bounce back strongly in World T20.
Sharjeel and Sarfraz played well and laid the foundation initially after Hafeez failed at the start. They played confidently and never looked in stress while chasing this competitive total. But it was Umar Akmal, who yet again, played a breezy innings to take his team home. What a collective performance from the Men in Green today. Sri Lanka have a lot to ponder about ahead of the World T20.
Well, all went well for Pakistan today. Had they played like this before, they would have been in the final. They bowled well, batted better and got a win over the Lankans with ease. First they managed to restrict their opposition for 150 which in itself was a task after the kind of start Dilshan and Chandimal provided. Thanks to some terrific bowling in the death overs they managed to save around 15-20 runs.
