So! Pakistan continue their good run. They now shift their focus to a longer format - the ODIs. They have not been having a good run there and will like to rectify that record. The first match begins on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 3 pm local (1100 GMT) in Abu Dhabi. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
Victorious Pakistan captain, Sarfraz Ahmed, praises the entire team for winning all 6 T20Is (3 against Australia and 3 here). Praises Babar Azam for playing another wonderful innings. Agrees that if the batting sets the tone early and the bowling takes wickets early as well, it becomes easier for the team to win. On Shadab Khan becoming the leading wicket-taker this year, he says that he is proud to see members from his team to feature in the records' list. On the upcoming ODI series, Sarfraz stresses that Pakistan's aim will be to play good cricket in the longer format as well, against an experienced opposition.
New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson says that throughout the series, whenever his team tried to put Pakistan under pressure, they hit back hard. But is proud of the way his team fought, though being a bit critical, he says that the batsmen could have hit the aerial shots a bit better, choosing the right areas. Admires Pakistan's bowling attack and says that they are a great lesson for his ever-learning side. Is looking forward to the ODI series.
MOHAMMAD HAFEEZ HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE SERIES. Smiles and says that he is very happy on his comeback and is thankful to all those people who prayed for his comeback. Is equally happy that every person in the team is wishing the best for the other. On his batting consistency, he says that he does not do anything special, just stays happy in what he is doing and luckily for him, the work is getting done. On Pakistan's winning streak, Hafeez credits the entire team for this effort and says that everyone is performing the assigned role perfectly and all are enjoying their games. On his plans for the one-day series, Hafeez smiles and says that there are no such plans. Just wants to keep doing what he has been doing and hope for success.
BABAR AZAM HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. On his scoring abilities, not hitting the big ones, Azam smiles and says that in this game, he started slowly but did try to cover up with a few big hits and was helped well by Hafeez. Overall, he says that his aim is to play 20 overs and the team plays around him. If need be, he decides to take a risk, else he just goes about his business. Is not too fussed about his batting position and reckons that he is happy to play wherever the team wants him to. On the record of being the fastest to 1000 T20I runs, Babar says that he was aware of the record and thanks the almighty for helping him achieve the milestone.
Coming to Pakistan's bowling, with a much bigger score behind them to defend, it was a cakewalk for them. They got two wickets quickly and although Kane Williamson threatened to take the game away, the hosts always knew that they were just a wicket away from enforcing a collapse and exactly that happened. Once the skipper fell, the Black Caps lost their way completely, losing their last 7 wickets for 23 runs. Shadab Khan picked up 3 wickets but everyone bowled well. Please stay tuned for the presentation.
The script was pretty clear. Bat first, score around 140 and then bowl well to defend. Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez took that score to 166 and that looked well out of New Zealand's reach. The Professor was teaching lessons with a fluent knock while Babar earned a record for himself, becoming the fastest to the score of 1000 T20I runs. The Kiwi bowling was not at its best tonight and the 94-run stand for the second wicket between Azam and Hafeez tested their resolve. Only Seth Rance bowled well.
9th consecutive win for Pakistan in T20Is. Their best ever and the second best streak by any team after Afghanistan's 11 from 2016 to 2017. What a champion side. They thrashed Australia 3-0 and now against a much more competitive New Zealand, have earned the same result. Brilliant.

Shadab Khan To Ross Taylor OUT!
OUT! Caught behind! That was the quicker ball from Shadab and he has got another one. With that, he becomes the leading wicket-taker in the calendar year! Terrific bowling and a stupendous catch. Short and outside off, Taylor rocks back to cut but is too close to the ball. Gets a thick outside edge which Sarfraz fumbles initially but the takes it in the second attempt. Rosco slips and falls over but does not go, till the umpire sends him on his way.

Shadab Khan To Ross Taylor OUT!
OUT! Second run out on the trot for New Zealand. Tim Southee has not even faced a ball and gets run out. Tossed up on leg stump, Taylor flicks it towards mid-wicket and sets off for a run. Southee however, wants the second but is sent back halfway through. Too late. The fielder from mid-wicket comes fast and returns an accurate throw towards the keeper who dislodges the bails in a flash, beating Southee's dive. New Zealand are losing their way in this run chase.
