So that ends our formalities for this game. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. After a good show in Christchurch, the Kiwis did not turn up today. They have got the potential and will look to bounce back hard, come the 4th ODI in Hamilton. But it won't be an easy task against the mighty South African side who will look to seal the series there itself. Do join us for all the live action on 1st March at 1400 local (0100 GMT). Till then, goodbye and cheers!
South Africa skipper and Man of the Match, AB de Villiers says that it was a quality team performance today from the guys. Emphasizes on the fact that they needed a team performance collectively and the guys stood for it and made it possible. Reckons it is really tough to judge what total is good on such wickets because every target is chaseable these days. Also says that everyone advised their bowlers about the length on which to bowl and that proved to be helpful for them. Opines that fielding today was very important mainly inside the circle. States that it was a very tough wicket to bat on and he never felt comfortable in the middle while he was batting. Adds that being nervous is one thing which has always stayed and he still feels it. Ends by saying that experience is the best teacher and it is very important to play every ball on its merit.
New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson says that the South African bowlers got a lot of movement off the surface and we couldn't play well. Adds that initially, there was pretty more to extract from that surface. Feels that his bowlers did the job. Adds that their batsmen batted really well up front. Mentions that the best chance for them was to weather the storm and chase it down but it wasn't to be. Adds that you have to put the ball in the right areas and their bowlers were able to do so. Reckons that if you keep on losing wickets, it is difficult to keep the scoreboard ticking. Feels that the South Africans outplayed them and got a good score on the board. Says that ODI cricket can be fickle. Ends up by saying that it is important to reflect on good bits and come back strong.
Williamson and Taylor had a promising partnership but that too didn't last long. Every South African bowler chipped in with regular wickets and kept on mounting the pressure on the Kiwis. Dwaine Pretorius deserves a special mention. He registered his career best figures of 5.2-1-5-3. For the hosts, apart from Williamson, every other batsman looked jittery and surrendered to the tourists.
What a top class bowling display by South Africa. They absolutely rattled the Kiwi batsmen and couldn't have asked for a more convincing victory than this. With that, they go up 2-1 in the 5-match series. After posting a good total on a dicey wicket, their bowlers were on song right from the start. The only glitch that the visitors made was dropping Kane Williamson on 4 but it didn't cost them much.

Dwaine Pretorius To Trent Boult OUT!
OUT! That's it! Pretorius finishes it off in style! Short delivery outside off, Boult goes for a pull but ends up mistiming it. The ball balloons in the air and there are many fielders behind it. AB de Villiers calls for it and takes a good catch behind the stumps at the non-striker's end. The visitors are absolutely elated and they deserve every bit of it. SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY 159 RUNS!
