Northern Warriors had to defend a par total and for that, the bowlers had to be top-notch. They failed to give a good start and never came into the game. They took two wickets in the middle but that did not help much. Josh Little struck late but it was too late for a comeback. A day to forget for Northern Warriors.
Delhi Bulls bowlers' did half the job in the first innings and the batters completed it. Rahmanullah Gurbaz gave them a blistering start as he scored 30 off just 10 balls. Once both the openers fell, Mohammad Hafeez and Sherfane Rutherford build a partnership and did the job with ease. Rutherford fell but he did his job brilliantly and then the following batters completed the proceedings.
Excellent batting from Delhi Bulls and they are up and running in this tournament with a win. Dwayne Bravo is a happy captain and smiles are all around the dugout. A poor day at the office for Northern Warriors who were short in every field of the game. Something they will look onto it.
