Stay tuned as there are a flurry of interviews coming up...
Earlier in the day, it was Mohammad Hafeez who showed his experience and then the carnage from Harry Brook and David Wiese helped Lahore Qalandars post 180. It turned out to be enough as their bowlers were eager to get a hand on the trophy as they overall produced a brilliant performance.
Lahore Qalandars were absolutely top notch with their bowling. One of the best in the department and for the final time as well they showed their class. They continued to take regular wickets and that helped to pile the pressure. Even their fielding today needs credit, it was absolutely terrific. As usual the skipper, Shaheen Afridi led from the front with three wickets while Zaman Khan and Mohammad Hafeez finished with two each.
No one showed any glimpse of chasing for Multan Sultans. They lost their best batter, Mohammad Rizwan early on and then the batsmen came, got a start but struggled to change the gears. There was a partnership between Tim David and Khushdil Shah but that didn't show any aggression.  David fell but Shah stayed and hit some boundaries but the target was just too big for him as well. In the end, he fell and then it was just proceedings for Lahore Qalandars.
Lahore Qalandars literally walked over Multan Sultans. First, it was with the bat and then with the ball. Sometimes the team who qualifies directly tends to lose the momentum and that just happened with Multan Sultans while Lahore Qalandars showed impetus by continuing their ever green form. Even, while writing this, the celebration continues and looks like it won't stop any time soon.
LAHORE QALANDARS ARE THE WINNERS OF THE PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE, 2022. Their maiden title. The celebrations begin as the staff runs to the middle and there is one happy bunch of group celebrating. The crowd goes beserks as well as they join their home team in celebration. The best bowling team of this season once again stepped up and showed their class in the finals. Lahore Qalandars, in front of the home crowd, a stuff every team dreams of. Also, take a moment and appreciate Shaheen Afridi's tenure for his team. Took the captaincy for the first time and thrived his team for their first ever title.
