Lahore Qalandars will be disappointed. They got early breakthroughs but the likes of Jahandad Khan and George Linde leaked runs. Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan got them back into the game towards the end but just couldn’t hold their nerve. Lahore Qalandars had no option but to go for one of the spinners. Ahsan Hafeez took the game till the last ball but it was always going to be nery for them. They are still win less in the tournament. Not the start the defending champions would have been hoping for.
Karachi Kings get over the line and Lahore Qalandars remain winless! A really good chase. Karachi Kings were in deep trouble when they lost 4 wickets but Shoaib Malik and Kieron Pollard batted brilliantly. They put up a really good stand. Malik played se sensibly and Pollard was the aggressor. They got the run rate down to below 10 but both fell in quick succession. Irfan Khan and Hasan Ali though held their nerve and took them over the line.
