That brings New Zealand's tour of India to an end. The Kiwis have entertained for sure but India proved too good in the end. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. NZ are flying back home to host Pakistan next month while India will see England coming over soon. Lots of cricketing action. Do join us for all that. For now, it's goodbye from us.
MS DHONI feels that it was one of the best performances by the bowlers. Says that it was the first game in the series when his spinners got to bowl with the surface assisting them as they had chased in all the games before. Feels that the dew didn't quite come and lauds his spinners for doing really well. Praises Mishra especially for his performance and also had words of encouragement for Axar as well. Feels that his batsmen did a good job, particularly Rohit and Kohli. Says that it was important to assess the conditions and feels his team did it well as they scored about 20 runs more than the par score. Says that he is happy with the performance of the team throughout the series despite resting several key players. Feels that the youngsters need to get continued exposure so that they can make it big in future.
KANE WILLIAMSON feels that the target was well above-par as far as the pitch was concerned. States that India played better cricket throughout and deserved to win the series. Expresses disappointment at NZ's batting failure today and is unable to point out a reason behind the meek surrender. Feels that the whole tour has been a good learning curve for his side in tough conditions against a formidable opponent. Hopes that his side can learn from these experiences. Says that there have been many positives on the tour. Singles out Latham and Santner for their maturity. Hopes that the whole group can learn and improve in the upcoming matches.
AMIT MISHRA (MAN OF THE MATCH AND SERIES) says that he is happy to contribute to the team's victory. He states that team's victory gives him the most joy. Adds that he had the full backing of skipper Dhoni. Feels that there was spin and inconsistent bounce in the pitch, so he was trying to flight the ball more. Praises Axar for doing well throughout the series and opines that their partnership has been good. Hopes that they can keep it doing. Credits his teammates and coaches for the success. Ends by saying that he hopes he can keep the good work going.
With the ball turning and gripping, India's spinners were on a roll after Umesh and Bumrah had provided the perfect start with a wicket apiece. Mishra ripped through the batting with a 5-fer as the Kiwis had no idea to counter his spin variations. Axar and debutant Jayant too gave able support as New Zealand were ambushed by spin. Earlier in the day, fifties from Rohit and Kohli were the highlight of India's innings as they posted a competitive total. Dhoni and Jadhav too chipped in with the latter's knock ensuring India got past the 260-run mark. In the end, it was a no-contest.
India have decimated the Kiwis to win their first bilateral ODI series against a top-eight side since November 2014. Chasing a tricky target of 270 on a dicey surface assisting spin, the Kiwis were never in the hunt as they couldn't adapt to the turning ball at all. Only Latham, Williamson and Taylor managed to cross double digits and that pretty much tells you the story of their innings. It was a surprisingly meek capitulation, considering how competent they had been right from the Tests, even in defeat. This is also NZ's lowest ODI score against India.

Axar Patel To Mitchell Santner OUT!
OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Demolition completed. Darted on middle, turns in a bit with very low bounce as Santner looks to play back to that one. Misses the line and the ball goes under his bat to crash into the sticks. That completes a huge rout. INDIA WIN BY 190 RUNS TO SEAL THE SERIES 3-2.
AXAR PATEL is back on.

OUT! 5-FER FOR MISHRA! What a spell this has been! Floated leg break outside off and Sodhi goes for the slog sweep. Gets a top edge that goes straight up in the air. Rahane at first slip runs to the leg slip region to take the skier with ease. India are just a wicket away now as the celebrations start in the stands. The party had started for quite some time now.

Amit Mishra To Tim Southee OUT!
OUT! DHONI IS RIGHT AS USUAL! Floated leg break outside off, Southee goes for a big drive but misses as MS whips off the bails in a flash. They want to refer it upstairs. The Indian captain is confident. Replays show that Southee's foot was momentarily up in the air and that was enough for Dhoni.
