So that's it from us then! Hope you enjoyed this Test. India will look to keep the momentum with them whereas England would be looking to come back hard in the third Test which starts on 26th November in Mohali. So do tune in for that at 0930 IST for all the action. Until then, goodbye and take care. Cheers!
India captain and Man of the Match, Virat Kohli feels it's been a lucky ground for him as he has scored runs every time he has batted here, just like Adelaide. Adds the support was priceless in this game. He is pretty happy with the overall effort. Feels scoreboard pressure counts a lot and the batsmen tend to make mistakes. He was pretty confident of taking the strike though in the second innings. Feels the biggest positive was the way the fast bowlers bowled and Jayant Yadav's performance. Says those lower order contributions are priceless. Credits Jayant Yadav for the way he played in this game as he bowled accurate lines to get the batsmen out and he knows what he's doing. Feels they've been playing pretty good cricket and they shouldn't be too desperate going into the Mohali game. He respects the English side and he feels the right balance is important and shouldn't be too complacent.
England captain, Alastair Cook says it was not a great moment to lose his wicket towards the end of day 4. Feels the first day was the easiest one to bat on. Mentions they were simply batting for a draw in their second innings. Adds it was pretty tough to score in the second innings as even India struggled. Says it's all about scoring big in the first innings and they didn't do too well in that aspect. Opines the margin of victory for India was big but they did put up a fight. Adds they managed to put India under pressure. He is not too disappointed and says they can keep their heads held high.
It was always going to be an uphill task for the visitors to bat five sessions in India in the fourth innings. Their openers showed some great application and dug in deep, but eventually the pitch did its part and Hameed got out to a ball that stayed low. Cook's vigil came to an end right at the stroke of stumps on day 4. And today, India simply ran through the English batting line-up and continued their unbeaten run in home Tests since December 2012.
In reply, apart from Root, the English top order failed once again. Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow shared a century stand and their fifties helped England cross the 250-run mark. Ashwin was the destroyer-in-chief once again as the offie grabbed a 5-fer. India in their second innings failed to bat as a unit. Only Kohli was middling the ball and the rest struggled. Broad was superb and finished with 4/33, his best bowling figures in Asia and Adil Rashid was amongst the wickets yet again.
After winning the toss, India opted to bat first and posted a good first innings total. Centuries from Pujara and Kohli got them beyond 400 and one stage it looked like they would easily go beyond 500 but England came back hard on day 2. Anderson and Moeen Ali got three wickets apiece as England bowled well overall.
Virat Kohli's fist goes up as India have wasted no time today to seal this Test match. Comprehensive win for the hosts! England fought back hard yesterday but today they had no answer as the home side came back even harder. Apart from Root and Bairstow, no batsman got going and showed proper application. Shami got the better of Root and the rest simply surrendered. Ashwin and Jayant Yadav finished with three wickets each whereas Jadeja and Shami got two apiece. Complete all-round bowling effort by India!

Jayant Yadav To James Anderson OUT!
OUT! INDIA WIN BY 246 RUNS! Decision is overturned and India start celebrating! It's fullish on middle, Anderson tries to defend but misses and gets hit on the pads. India appeal for a leg before but the umpire says not out. India decide to take a review. Replays show it's pitching in line and the ball would have hit the leg stump. Anderson is gone first ball and India lead the 5-match series 1-0!
Another review. This time Anderson is given not out and India opt for the DRS.
James Anderson walks in next.

W
Jayant Yadav To Stuart Broad OUT!
OUT! LBW! Broad has to go! Full on middle and leg, Broad gets down on his knee and goes for the sweep. The ball goes off something to the silly point fielder. The Indians appeal loud and hard but the umpire takes his time to raise his finger. Broad has a chat with his partner and takes a review. Replays show there's no bat involved. Time for the ball tracking technology, it shows the ball would have hit the off stump so Broad has to go. India are one wicket away!
There's an appeal for a catch at silly point or maybe for a leg before and the umpire has given it out. Broad takes a review though.
