Right then, that is all we have from this double-header Thursday. Shakib Al Hasan, the skipper of Fortune Barishal says that they were in a spot of bother and it was’t ideal and credit goes to Ahmed for taking the game on. Tells that he loved a cut shot to Rauf over third man. Mentions that they have got good local bowlers in their line-up and they would get better.
Iftikhar Ahmed is the Player of the match. He says that he was trying to reach his hundred and he always wanted to score one in this format. Adds that he doesn't have any animosity against Rauf and it was a batting pitch so he went for it. Ends by thanking Shakib for giving him the opportunity.
Shoaib Malik, the skipper of Rangpur Riders says that they will all remember drop catch of Iftikhar Ahmed. Credits Iftikhar Ahmed and Shakib Al Hasan and hopes that the bowlers on his side can execute their skills better. Informs that fielding is one thing they would like to improve on and feels that they should have shown more intent with the bat in the Powerplay. Tells that Shamim Hossain is a good player and he is glad to see him performing.
Time for the Presentation.
Rangpur Riders, well, they might remember this game for a long time, especially their bowlers. The Powerplay went to them while bowling first when they got four wickets in it but after that it was just leather-chasing for them. All the bowlers were hammered  and even experienced players like Rauf and Nawaz could not do much. The chase was always going to be tough for them and once they lost wickets in the Powerplay, they were always behind the 8-ball. A big positive for them though is the way Shamim Hossain batted in the end and apart from that they need to go back to the drawing board and come back stronger in the next game.
Fortune Barishal would be proud of the way they performed in this game. They lost four wickets for just 46 runs but it was just carnage after that as Iftikhar Ahmed and Shakib Al Hasan smashed Rangpur Riders bowlers all over the park and scored 100 and 89 respectively to put 238 on the board. After that, they just needed to do the basics right and with Shakib Al Hasan as a leader we can expect his team to do those things well. They took three wickets in the Powerplay and though Naim, Nawaz and in the end, Shamim Hossain played handy knocks, the result was never in the doubt with required rate climbing up rapidly after a poor Powerplay for Rangpur Riders. Overall, a dominating performance from Fortune Barishal!
A big victory for Fortune Barishal and it was always on the cards after a mammoth total they got on the board. They have now notched up four wins in a row and are looking very dangerous with the kind of quality they have both in the batting and bowling department.
