Man of the Match and India captain, Rohit Sharma, says it was important for him to step up as he had mentioned in the toss. He felt they were 10-15 runs short and credits the way Bangladesh bowled in the death. Appreciates Washington Sundar's spell at the start. Reckons the wicket was on the slower side as it was gripping and turning. Further adds it was not easy to play the shots and hence he took his time. States the partnership between him and Suresh Raina was key. Acknowledges the courage shown by Sundar as he provided them with the wickets when they needed it. Ends by saying Mohammed Siraj is a great talent and he has the skills to execute what the captain asks for.

Bangladesh captain, Mahmudullah, says he is disappointed with the effort. Credits Mushfiqur Rahim for the way he batted. He feels the chase was on and they needed a good start which they did not get. Reckons 10 runs less would have made a difference. Mentions the plan in the death overs was to take the pace off and stick to their strengths but it did not work out for them. Ends by saying they have an opportunity to prove themselves in the next game and they are looking forward for it.

For India, Washington Sundar was the pick of the bowlers with a three-fer. He was well supported by Chahal and the two combined to end with figures of 8-0-43-4. Siraj, however, once again had a day to forget. He did pick a wicket towards the end but was taken for 50 runs in his 4 overs. Nevertheless, a good victory for India. Chasing 177 was never going to be easy on a wicket which was a little sluggish and the start for Bangladesh was also not good. They lost the accelerator of their last game, Liton Das, early. Tamim Iqbal though continued playing his shots and got the Bangla Tigers off to a flier. However, Washington Sundar spun a web around the opposition batsmen as he picked up three big wickets in the Powerplay. Mahmudullah did show intent after coming on but he fell prey to another spinner, Chahal. Then Sabbir and Rahim joined forces and did provide hope with a 65-run stand, but once the former departed it was too much of an ask for Rahim who once again notched up a fifty and remained unbeaten.

India are into the finals with another victory over Bangladesh, who are yet to win a T20I game against the Men in Blue. It was all set up by their skipper Rohit Sharma who played an outstanding knock in the first innings and then their bowlers followed it up and ensured they come out on top.

No ball it is! Siraj bowls a high full toss which Rahim mistimes and hits it straight up in the air towards the bowler who takes a catch. However, he has a chance of a run out as Rahim goes for a run and is way short. He though misses his shy at the non-striker's end and the batsmen complete a run. The umpires are not sure about the no ball and they go upstairs to check. The replays show the ball to be above the waist and it is given in the favor of the batsman.

They have gone to check upstairs for the no ball for height. If it is not one Rahim has been caught and bowled but it seems a little high to me. A tough call for the umpire.
