So, that's it from us for today's game. Today's result ensures that we will have a new champion in this edition. Will it be the hosts England or do India have another incredible performance left in the tank? Join us on 23rd July 2017 at 1030 local, 0930 GMT for the all-important World Cup final at Lord's. Till then, it's goodbye from us. Cheers!
Meg Lanning says that the innings by Harmanpreet Kaur was incredible and congratulates India. Adds that Blackwell was hitting quite well but they didn't get the right start. Calls it a disappointing game.
Mithali Raj lauds Harmanpreet Kaur's innings and also the bowlers for doing well under pressure. Opines that her team has shown character in the tournament by bouncing back from a loss with clinical victories. Feels that her side has quality players and is happy that different people have stepped up in different matches. Expresses confidence in her bowling unit. Doesn't provide a definite answer on Kaur's fitness although she stresses on the fact that the players are excited for the World Cup final and to play at Lord's.
Harmanpreet Kaur is the unanimous choice for the Player of the Match. She is all smiles and says that she is really proud of her innings. Adds that she is looking forward to the final. Also praises her teammates and thanks the support staff.
India's bowlers had a fairly good outing. They started brilliantly and although they were undone by Villani and Blackwell, the bowlers kept their nerves at the crucial moments to pick wickets regularly. Having the cushion of some extra runs on the board also helped their cause. Goswami and Pandey were the pick of the bowlers with 2 scalps apiece while Yadav picked a 3-fer despite being expensive. Earlier in the day, a Kaur masterclass helped India post an intimidating total that proved too many for the Aussies in the end. Presentations in a bit.
A comfortable win for India in the end. Blackwell's sensational assault did give them some jitters although the required run rate was always hard to control for the Australians. The run chase of 282 was tough and the early wickets made it tougher but Villani's counterattack gave life to the innings. She and Perry stitched a valuable stand to put the chase on track but their dismissals triggered a collapse that all but sealed the game. At 169/9, it seemed only a matter of time but Blackwell wasn't done. She played an incredible knock to wade into the Indian bowlers. However, in the end, it was a bridge too far for her.

Deepti Sharma To Alex Blackwell OUT!
OUT! Bowledddd! A flatter ball around leg, skidding through the surface, Blackwell advances down the track and tries to whip across the line. But she fails to make any connection and finds her stumps getting rattled. The Indian girls jump in delight. They win by 36 runs and book a place in the final of the ICC Women's World Cup, 2017!
