So that's it from all of us here for this game. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. We look forward to your company for the third and final T20I between the two sides on 22nd February at the Adelaide Oval. Action begins 1920 local (0850 GMT). Until then, it's goodbye and cheers!
Sri Lanka skipper, Upul Tharanga starts off thanking the crowd for their support. Calls it an amazing innings from Asela, mentions that he did well in SA too. Opines that wicket had spongy bounce, they lost too many wickets early but Asela concentrated well enough and finished the game. Calls the win against Australia exciting as they are a young side and calls it a huge achievement. Ends by saying that they are looking forward to the warm weather in Adelaide as it is really cold here (in Geelong).
Australia skipper Aaron Finch, calls Gunaratne's knock a hell of an innings. Agrees that the execution wasn't well from his bowlers in the end. Feels for Henriques too who gave away 22 runs in the penultimate over. Credits Sri Lanka for playing well. He informs that they had enough runs to win the match. Ends by stating that he is looking forward to Adelaide calling it a beautiful place to play cricket.
Man of the Match, Asela Gunaratne, says this is the happiest he's felt in his life.
Australia will be disappointed with the loss, they had the Lankans on the mat but failed to close the game out in time. They have lost second T20I series in a row at home and despite the absence of star players, they will think they should have done better. Coming to the game, every bowler began well for them but lack of wickets during the later half of the game cost them. Andrew Tye was the best bowler, well in terms of wickets, taking 3/37, but sadly for him, he could not defend 13 in the last over and that was it for the hosts.
And to think Sri Lanka were 40/5 at one stage, tells you how brilliantly they played. The top order was seen off before they could blink. Chamara Kapugedera and Asela Gunaratne added 52 runs for the sixth wicket before the former departed. Asela though, did not miss out and registered his fifty, he raised his game just in time to ensure the visitors finished the job on hand.
What a game of cricket! Sri Lanka needed 36 from 11 balls when Asela Gunaratne got stuck into Moises Henriques scoring 22 runs in the next five balls to bring the visitors back in the game. With 14 needed in the last over, Asela hit 4 and then a 6 to get ahead in the game. 2 were needed in 1 ball when Asela Gunaratne hit a boundary to seal not just the win but also the series for them with a game to go.

4
Andrew Tye To Asela Gunaratne
FOUR! Outstanding victory for the Lankans. Length delivery from Tye, outside off, Gunaratne drives it over covers for boundary and seals the series with that. In come the Sri Lankan players to rejoice the win. Tye cannot believe it. Australia's poor run in T20Is continue. Jeez, what a thriller! SRI LANKA WIN BY 2 WICKETS!
Tension, tension in the air! 2 needed in 1.
19.5
1
Andrew Tye To Lasith Malinga
Length ball, slower delivery, Malinga flicks it uppishly through square leg for a single. Now then, 2 off 1 and all three results possible here.

1
Andrew Tye To Asela Gunaratne
Fullish delivery, on middle, Gunaratne flicks it through square leg for a single. And now Malinga is on strike. 3 off 2 balls. Can Tye bowl a dot ball or scalp a wicket?
Lasith Malinga wants to calm down Asela.
19.3
6
Andrew Tye To Asela Gunaratne
SIX! Length ball, around off, Gunaratne shuffles across and lofts it straight down the ground. Has a bit to say to Tye too. This man has gone bonkers. Can he seal the series here for his side?
19.2
4
Andrew Tye To Asela Gunaratne
FOUR! Horrid delivery. Full toss around off, Gunaratne waits for it and smokes it over mid off for a boundary. 10 off 4 balls.
Lasith Malinga is the new man in. He won't be on strike though. Sri Lanka need 14 more in 5 balls.
19.1
W
Andrew Tye To Nuwan Kulasekara OUT!
OUT! Length ball, around off, NK looks to go over covers but mistimes. The ball goes high in the air and Klinger goes back a bit, gets under it to take a comfortable catch near covers. But crucially for Sri Lanka, Gunaratne is back on strike.
Tye again has the rights for the final over. 14 runs needed from the last over.

Moises Henriques To Asela Gunaratne
SIX! And another! Length delivery, around off, Gunaratne moves across and smokes it over the deep mid-wicket fence. Are we in for something here?

Moises Henriques To Asela Gunaratne
SIX! Wow. That's a beaut. Fuller delivery, outside off, Gunaratne moves ahead a bit and smacks it over covers for a maximum.

Moises Henriques To Asela Gunaratne
Fuller delivery, on middle, Gunaratne looks to flick it away but gets a bottom edge onto his pads which almost goes back towards Henriques but it falls just short of him. Think he should've gone for the catch, but backed out at the very last minute. Maybe he wanted to save a single.
Moises Henriques to bowl the penultimate over.
