Phew! So that is it from us for this Test. Been a historic one to say the least. While South Africa will be over the moon, Australia will need to introspect and come out from this with a clear vision for the future. The series now heads to Adelaide for the Day/Night Test staring on 24th November at 0900 IST and it should be another interesting game. Will the tourists inflict a whitewash or will Australia salvage some pride? Let's wait and see. Hope you liked your coverage, we look forward to your company in the coming games. Until then, it's goodbye and take care!
Victorious South African captain, FAF DU PLESSIS is absolutely happy to put up another great performance. He says all his bowlers were exceptional but has a special mention to Abbott for stepping up at the right time and grabbing the opportunity. Adds that it was Philander who set the tone for them in the first innings. Admits they didn't let the momentum shift and as a result they got the desired result. He wants both AB de Villiers and Dale Steyn to join and celebrate with them as they would know how difficult it is to beat Australia in their own den. Mentions that his aim is to take this South African team to the next level and is proud of the efforts put in. On the Day/Night Test, He says that it would be a different challenge and will be up for it. Ends by saying they have a golden opportunity to beat Australia 3-0 and that's their next mission.
Australian skipper, STEVEN SMITH is disappointed as his team didn't put up a fight. Adds that they didn't play to their strengths again and credits South Africa for outplaying them in the series. Confesses that when the confidence is low, it's really difficult for any team and the best way to win is to spend more time in the middle fighting it out. Praises the bowling efforts of Rabada, Abbott and Philander on this deck. Ends by saying they are working hard and with the series already gone with a match to go, they have nothing to lose and will look to do better in the final Test in Adelaide. On the team changes in the next Test, he says it is all upto the selectors and they surely need to get this team over the line and hopes the Adelaide crowd to be an inspiration for them.
MAN OF THE MATCH, KYLE ABBOTT says that he just loves to make the most of the opportunities given to him. Adds that he wants to keep doing this for his team. Further adds that the sun not coming out helped him with the movement. Informs his idea was to make the batsman play for everything and when the pitch assists, it makes things interesting for him. Adds that they came into the series knowing the strengths and weaknesses of each batsman. Ends by saying the party is on for sure tonight.
Australia would feel like they are in a rut, they have lost five Tests in a row. They struggled against spin in Sri Lanka and now have been outplayed at home by South Africa who have used the moving ball superbly. There will be a lot of tough questions asked and the home side will know they need to answer them and prepare well for the coming games. Testing times ahead. Meanwhile, stay tuned for the presentation.
It has been a memorable Test series for South Africa, they had no Dale Steyn and AB de Villiers yet Faf du Plessis has managed to get the team together and put in one of their finest performances in Test cricket. Kagiso Rabada and Kyle Abbott were the standout bowlers for them with good support from the others as well. Batting shaped up well for them too. To think Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis did not score a ton yet the tourists found new heroes in Dean Elgar, JP Duminy and also Temba Bavuma who chipped in with vital fifties.
Everything worked for the tourists in this Test, right from the toss. They won the toss, bundled out Australia for 85 and the 144-run stand between de Kock and Bavuma steadied them. Quinton de Kock's ton ensured they got a huge lead of 241 runs and despite a good start for Australia, Kagiso Rabada and Kyle Abbott shared ten wickets between them to wrap things up. Poor Philander who got a five-fer in the first innings, bowled his heart out but could not pick a single wicket in the second. South Africa have played superbly as a team to win their third consecutive Test series against Australia in Australia.
What a collapse for Australia, their second one in the game and South Africa have been ruthless to not just wrap up the Test but also the series with an innings victory. Australia lost eight wickets for a mere 40 runs in just 24.1 overs today. Abbott and Philander did not bowl any boundary balls to begin with and that created the pressure on Australia to start scoring. The frustration built up and out came the indecisive strokes and South Africa just ran through the batting line-up to register their first ever innings victory against Australia in Australia!

Kyle Abbott To Nathan Lyon OUT!
OUT! It's all over for Australia! The South African team is in a huddle, they are cherishing the moment. Faf du Plessis is the happiest man on this planet. What a performance from his team to defeat Australia in their own den. Coming to the ball, it was a full ball on the stumps, Lyon backs away and chips it straight to Philander at mid on who takes a comfortable catch. Kyle Abbott is down on his knees and his teammates barge towards him. SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY AN INNINGS AND 80 RUNS AND SEAL THE SERIES WITH A GAME TO GO!

Kyle Abbott To Mitchell Starc OUT!
OUT! Kyle Abbott bags his 3rd Test five-fer! Warner on air says, he wins the race against Rabada. Abbott serves a full length delivery on off, Starc stays put in the crease and tries to go for the drive with no footwork at all. Gets a thick nick that flies to de Kock who does the rest. He throws the ball upwards and Kyle has his arms aloft. What a performance from him, comes into the side replacing an injured Steyn and doesn't make his absence felt. End is NIGH for Australia!
