That's all from our side for the day. Join us on 31st January for the third T20I to be played at Sydney (1408 IST). Goodbye till then!
MS DHONI thinks that the crowd was fantastic and thanks everyone for their support. Thinks that catches win matches and Jadeja took one of them today. Adds that playing in ODIs compared to T20Is is different and hence the spinners did a good job in the shortest format where they are experienced. Adds that death bowling is important and you need to execute the yorkers towards the end of the innings. It's important that Bumrah keeps bowling those yorkers and it's important that he maintains his fitness, Dhoni concludes.
In the absence of Aaron Finch, SHANE WATSON says that they had a good start but the middle order failed to capitalize on the start. Praises Indian spinners as they are experienced and they bowled well in the middle overs. Informs that Finch has hurt his hamstring during the run out. Also thinks that the skipper played a good knock but unfortunately ended on the losing side. Thinks that it's going to be an important game on Sunday as they have to try a few players before going into the T20 World Cup.
VIRAT KOHLI (MAN OF THE MATCH) says that he loves to bat on these wickets in Australia. He is happy that so many people came in and supported the Indian team. Adds that he is pleased with his effort and his knock was a crucial one in the team's victory. Further says that he can't hit long sixes and he likes to keep it simple and stick to his game. Playing the ball in the gaps and getting odd boundaries is what he is happy with.
The Indian bowlers went for plenty of runs upfront but as soon as they got the first wicket, they were bang on after that. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin bowled useful spells and got three wickets in total but it was Yuvraj Singh who was the best of the lot. In his spell of 2 overs, he gave away only 7 runs and got the all-important wicket of Glenn Maxwell. The Indian team will be pleased with their effort and the last match will be a dead rubber. Their aim will be for a whitewash now!
With this victory, India have won the series 2-0 with a match to go. Both the games were almost similar as India defended a target of 180-plus in each. Even today, just like the other day, the Australian openers gave them a good start. In fact, it was a brilliant opening stand of 94. But, once Shaun Marsh was dismissed, it led to a procession of wickets. Skipper Aaron Finch scored 74 but rest of the batsmen weren't able to do much. The middle order batsmen came in, played a few deliveries and threw away their wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja To James Faulkner OUT!
OUT! That's what you call luck. And, the skipper of the Indian cricket team is riding his luck. It was bowled around off, Faulkner flashed at it and got an inside edge to it. The ball missed the stumps but hit Dhoni's pads and deflected onto the stumps. Unfortunately for Faulkner, when the bails were dislodged his back foot was outside the crease and hence the dangerous Faulkner has to walk off. The task gets more difficult with the finisher dismissed.
