Pakistan beat Australia by 111 runs
A flawless 3-0 triumph - That brings the curtain down on both the game and the series, with Pakistan clinching a dominant 3-0 win as captain Salman Agha lifts the trophy alongside his jubilant teammates and poses for some pictures behind the Winners' banner. With silverware secured, both sides now turn their focus to the warm-up fixtures ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup, where Pakistan face Ireland on Wednesday, 4 February, and Australia take on the Netherlands on Thursday, 5 February. Thanks for joining us for the coverage, and there is still plenty of cricket to enjoy, with Sri Lanka and England currently locking horns in the second T20I, just a tab away. Cheers!
The victorious skipper of Pakistan -  Salman Agha is also the PLAYER OF THE SERIES (120 runs). He says it was a complete team effort and that they performed well in all departments, thoroughly dominating the Australian side. He shares that he is in a great frame of mind and hopes to continue his good form with the bat during the World Cup. He praises Shaheen Afridi for being outstanding whenever he plays and adds that Naseem Shah also did a wonderful job. Salman mentions that captaincy becomes easier when you have world-class spinners, calling it a 'good headache' for the team. With multiple spin options available, he feels the team may not even need his bowling. He signed off by saying that Pakistan have been fielding well since the Asia Cup and were keen to make a strong mark in the series.
The captain of Australia - Mitchell Marsh says that Pakistan outplayed them throughout the series. Adds that there are a lot of learnings to take forward, but they need to address them quickly. Mentions that it was hard to chase on this surface, and they needed partnerships, which they could not get. Tells that they need to improve in that aspect and do better in the World Cup. Says that they had an exciting time here, and thanks Pakistan for the hospitality, but now is looking forward to going to Sri Lanka for the big event. Ends by saying that the crowd has been great, calls Pakistan a cricket-loving country, and says they enjoyed their time here.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH is Mohammad Nawaz (5/18) - He says the conditions were helpful, and the aim was always to make an impact for the team. He adds that sticking to the basics was the key, and the pitch offered good assistance. Nawaz explains that his focus was to keep the ball away from the hitting arc of the Australian batters, bowling in good areas rather than into their strengths.
Presentation Time...
Pakistan's bowlers run riot - Pakistan produced yet another dominant bowling performance, led once again by their spin attack that ruled the series. The tone was set early when Shaheen Afridi removed the Australian captain in the very first over, as he so often does, before finishing with two wickets, while Abrar Ahmed chipped in with one and Naseem Shah applied the finishing touches. But the star of the show was Mohammad Nawaz, who spun a web around the Australian batters with a sensational 5/18, his career-best figures, underlining why Pakistan will be such a force to reckon with in the spin-friendly conditions awaiting them at the World Cup in Sri Lanka.
Pakistan's 200-plus statement - Earlier in the game, Pakistan tore into the Australian attack to cross the 200-run mark for the first time in the rivalry, posting their highest-ever T20I total against them in a breathtaking display of power and control. Saim Ayub provided the early spark with a dazzling half-century, before Babar Azam and Shadab Khan seized complete command through the middle and death overs. Babar held the innings together with a classy unbeaten 50, while Shadab went into overdrive with a brutal 46 off just 19 balls to blow the game wide open. Australia simply could not stem the flow, with Matthew Kuhnemann the lone bowler to show some control, while Dwarshuis took a couple of wickets but the rest, including Zampa, were taken apart as Pakistan powered their way to a landmark total.
Australia unravel in a spin trap - Australia's chase never found any momentum as they lost both openers inside the first two overs and slipped to a disastrous 16/3. Stoinis and Green tried to revive things with knocks in their 20s, but they were the only batters to cross that mark as wickets kept tumbling. The visitors looked completely out of sorts against spin, relying almost entirely on sweeps that brought little reward, and with seven batters falling for single-digit scores, the collapse only deepened. It summed up a miserable series with the bat, where not a single Australian batter managed to register a fifty across the entire tour. Zampa, sidelined by a groin injury from the first innings, could not bat, and Australia were eventually bundled out for well under 100 in a one-sided finish.
Pakistan march into the World Cup with a clean sweep - Pakistan wrapped up a dominant clean sweep over Australia with a thumping win, handing them their biggest-ever T20I defeat in terms of margin of runs, carrying huge confidence and momentum into the global showpiece. For Australia, there are big questions to answer, especially around their struggles against spin, a challenge they will have to solve quickly with the World Cup just around the corner.
Adam Zampa is unfit to take any more part in the match and is given as absent hurt.

OUT! LBW! Abrar Ahmed joins the party now. He bowls this a bit quicker, full and on middle, Mitchell Owen goes down for the sweep again but this is too full for that shot. The ball sneaks under the bat and hits his pads right in front of the stumps. There is an appeal for LBW, and up goes the finger. However, Owen takes the review. UltraEdge confirms no bat involved and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds, with the ball hitting the middle and leg stumps. Pakistan just two wickets away from the win now.

OUT! STUMPED! A fifer for Mohammad Nawaz! He has had a night to remember here. This is slower through the air, full and around off, grips and turns a long way into the leg side. Cooper Connolly comes out of his crease but cannot lay a bat on it due to the massive turn. Khawaja Nafay, the keeper, does well to move to his right to grab it, and then breaks the stumps with his left hand, with Cooper out of his crease. Australia are 82/7 now.

DRINKS! Pakistan have gone further ahead in the game, with the wicket of Marcus Stoinis. Australia recovered from the early loss of wickets, but will have to once again start from the bottom. However, the problem for them is that the new batters cannot really take much time, with the pressure of the asking rate. With the series already gone, it will be interesting to see how they approach this now. Whether they go all out attack and don't think much about losing wickets, or try to take this one deep. Also, Josh Philippe walks out to bat now.
