Earlier in the day, it was Moeen Ali who set the game up for Comilla Victorians with the bat where he smashed sixes for fun and later on, their bowlers put on a show to register their sixth win of the tournament. The Victorians are back at the top of the points table.
Comilla Victorians will be extremely pleased with their bowling effort. They have done exceptionally well and this has just been a perfect game for them. All of their bowlers executed their plans to perfection and it was a combined bowling effort from them. Moeen Ali, Mustafizur Rahman and Nahidul Islam took two wickets apiece and it was Abu Hider who finished with three wickets to his name. Khulna Tigers had an off day with the bat as none of their batters managed to get in and score freely. Thisara Perera did swung his willow in the end but it was too late and the Tigers were handed a heavy defeat.
A comprehensive victory for Comilla Victorians and the Tigers have been completely outplayed by the Victorians in this contest. Their chase did start off with a bang in the first over where Andre Fletcher smashed 16 runs but after that they lost the plot and never really looked like chasing down the total. The other batters never really got going and in the end they fell short by a huge margin. The Victorians have grabbed some crucial points here and Khulna Tigers will be very disappointed with their effort in this game.
