About Nehru Stadium, Kochi
Formerly known as the Kaloor International Stadium it was established only in 1996-97 with a seating capacity of 60000. The first ODI was played the next year on April 1, 1998. It is also the home ground for the Kerala state Ranji team and also the football club FC Kochi. This ground has cherished the rare opportunity of witnessing the talent of Sachin Tendulkar the bowler, who has claimed quite a few wickets here. With giant floodlight pylons’ arching over the ground it makes for a brilliant view.
