We are back for the run-chase! The umpires are back out in the middle as the English players take their positions on the field. ... FOURTH INNINGS ...

!
Right then, New Zealand's highest-ever successful run chase in Test cricket came way back in 1994 in Christchurch where they scored 324 runs to win against Pakistan. At the moment, they not only have to get to that score but better it by a big margin as well. England will feel that they have done enough with the bat with useful contributions from the lower middle-order and they are bowled out just as the lights start to take full effect at the Bay Oval. Will the Kiwis be able to ride the early storm under lights and give themselves a chance of a favorable result on Day 4? Or will England get those early breakthroughs and end the day firmly in front? Let's find out as the Kiwi chase is up next.

There it is, New Zealand have finally managed to bundle out England! But, it has required a big effort in the field and the visitors will certainly be happy with what they have on the board. They lead by 393 and the hosts will require a record-breaking score of 394 runs if they are to win this game. England went into the Dinner break with the score on 349/8 and the tailenders have managed to add on crucial 25 runs to that which could make a huge difference. As for New Zealand, Blair Tickner and Michael Bracewell ended up with three wickets each but in all, it was a sub-par effort on their side albeit on a bit of a dead track.
