Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen to play simultaneous chess with 20 kids in Chennai

Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen will visit Chennai on August 19 to promote chess for children between 7 to 17 years of age in all schools in Tamil Nadu.

Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen will visit Chennai on August 19 to promote chess for children between 7 to 17 years of age in all schools in Tamil Nadu.

To promote Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's policy, the world number one will play simultaneous chess with 20 children from Tamil Nadu who have won medals in International Competitions.

The Grandmaster from Norway will play the five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand during the World Chess Championship to determine the 2013 champion. The event is scheduled to take place in Chennai from November 6-26.
