Manu Bhaker's Father To NDTV Ram Kishan On India's Shooting Performance At Asian Games

Speaking to NDTV following the 25m pistol shooting event, Ram Kishan Bhaker, father of Indian Olympian Manu Bhaker, discussed the performance of the Indian shooting contingent. Commenting on Rahi Sarnobat's critical shot, which was ruled as hitting outside the target board, he expressed doubt over the official decision, citing Sarnobat’s 16 years of top-level experience and suggesting a possible technical glitch. Despite the team missing out on an individual gold, Ram Kishan praised Manu’s solid qualification scores and robust performance under pressure. He emphasised that while the athletes performed slightly below expectations and require further preparation, the government has provided sufficient infrastructure and support, attributing the missed medals to the natural ups and downs of competitive sports.
